RESOURCES FOR ASSESSMENT

bullet Graphic Organizers & Planning Outlines for Authentic Instruction and Assessment contains eight different types of reproducible outlines and organizers which can be used in all content areas.  The book also gives instructions for using the organizers. 
bullet Middle School Assessment is a 176 page source provides reproducibles, examples, and explanations for portfolios, rubrics, and observation-based assessment. Content areas covered are writing, math, and social studies. Science is briefly covered. The rubrics for writing are NOT based on the Six Trait Writing Model. They are written for specific types of writing and could possibly be modified to be used in conjunction with the Six Trait rubrics.
