TIPS FOR PRINTING INFORMATION FROM KIM'S KORNER FOR TEACHER TALK

Save your ink!  Do not print directly from this site.  Instead, follow these simple steps.

1. Go the page at Kim's Korner from Teacher Talk that has the information you wish to print.

2. Highlight the portion of the text you wish to print.

3. Go to FILE in the toolbar at the top of your window.

4. Click on PRINT.

5. Choose SELECTION for the print range.

6. Print.

7. The printout should contain the page title and URL.  If the URL is missing, you will need to add it.  You need to do this for three reasons.

   1. Most importantly, you need to give credit to the source.

   2. You may want to return to the page or site.

   3. Someone else who sees the copy might want to visit the page or site.

If you can't get the print selection to work, there is another way to print just what you want.

1. In a different window, open up your word processing program, such as Microsoft Word.

2. Go the page at Kim's Korner for Teacher Talk with the information you wish to print.

3. Highlight the portions of the text you wish to print.  Do not copy the logo at the top or the navigation buttons at the bottom.

4. Go to EDIT in the toolbar at the top of your window.

5. Click on COPY.

6. Now go to your word processor and paste the information.

7. Add the URL for the page from which you copied the information. You need to do this for three reasons.

   1. Most importantly, you need to give credit to the source.

   2. You may want to return to the page or site.

   3. Someone else who sees the copy might want to visit the page or site.

8. Print.

Some items at Kim's Korner for Teacher Talk are in PDF format, which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader.
