SEARCHING FOR SOMETHING IN PARTICULAR?

Google

Helpful search hints:

bullet

Too many results?

bullet

Get more specific with your search terms.  Instead of lesson plans, try word choice lesson plans.

bullet

Rearrange the word order of your search terms.  Instead of wordless picture books try picture books wordless.

bullet

Not enough results?

bullet

Get less specific with your search terms.  Instead of subject-verb agreement, try grammar.

bullet

Try related search terms.  Instead of writing, try composition, or write, or writer.

bullet

No results?

bullet

Check the spelling.  Some search engines will try to guess what you want, but if your spelling is way off, it will not be able to guess.

bullet

Want something exact?

bullet

Put quotation marks around the exact phrasing you need in your results.  If you are looking for the book Wilma Unlimited, type "Wilma Unlimited"

bullet

If your search term has multiple meanings, exclude those you do not want.  If you are looking for voice, but do not want results related to speech, type voice -speech. You can use more than one negative term.
