BUILDING WITH WORDS

Give the students a list of 15-20 words. Be sure to use descriptive adjectives and vivid action verbs. Have the students use the words to write a paragraph. When the students are finished, read the paragraphs aloud. Point out that although the students had the same words, their ideas were different.
