STORY ENDERS

Instead of giving the students a story starter, give them a story ender. This could be the last line or last paragraph of a story. The students will then need to create the title, beginning, and body of the story. You can modify some of your story starters and turn them into story enders. As an alternative, you can have the students write the story enders on index cards, place them in a can, and let the students draw one. Throw in a couple extra so that students can trade, but only let them trade once.
