Lesson Idea for

The Secret Knowledge of Grownups

or

The Secret Knowledge of Grownups: The Second File

both by David Wisniewski

This lesson will work with either book.  David Wisniewski explains the truth behind silly rules that grownups have, such as eat your vegetables, don't bite your nails, and drink your milk.

You can get the books from Amazon.com.

Or you can get them from BookCloseouts.com -- if they are in stock.  Click on a book below to see if it is available.

My 8th graders enjoyed writing their own explanations to rules almost as much as listening to Wisniewski's secret files.

I used this lesson to emphasize the trait of ideas and content, but it can work for other traits as well.
