STORY SKELETON

Give the students a series of sentence beginnings that, when completed, will create a paragraph or a story. Obviously, you would have more sentence beginnings for a story. If you want the students to finish at approximately the same time, read the sentences aloud one at time or reveal them one at a time on the overhead projector.

EXAMPLE STORY SKELETON FOR A PARAGRAPH:

bulletMy least favorite food...
bulletThe smell of it...
bulletIt feels like...
bulletIts taste...
bulletThe worst thing about it...
bulletI would prefer...
