SAMPLE PAPERS TO SHOW
STRENGTHS
|
| Trainers of Six Trait looking for more examples
to teach other teachers about scoring papers based on the
rubrics | |
| Teachers new to the Six Trait Model who are
looking for example papers to familiarize themselves with
the rubrics and how papers are scored | |
| Students who need to see strong and weak examples of each trait |
The main page for these papers is Scoring 6+1 TraitTM Writing which is found at NWREL. From this page, you can choose papers according to trait, score, and/or grade level. Some of the papers can be used for more than one trait. Also, you have a choice of looking at the scores or hiding them. There are also printer friendly versions available.
If you need more sample papers, try trading actual student papers with another teacher close to your grade level. Make sure you have the students' permission first and block out the names. You can use your own students' papers, but they may be discouraged by this, even if you block out the names.
