PEER RESPONSE SHEET FOR
SENTENCE FLUENCY

Below is a version of the peer response sheet I have my students use when reading another student's paper for sentence fluency.

DIRECTIONS: Circle what you believe to be the correct response to the paper.

Flows nicely, almost musical OR Some flow to paper, but not graceful OR Sounds funny, awkward, or jarring

Easy to read aloud OR Some parts easy to read aloud, others are difficult OR Difficult to read aloud

Different sentence lengths OR Some variety in sentence length OR Sentences are all short or all long

Different sentence structures OR Some variety in sentence structure OR Sentences have the same pattern

Different sentence beginnings OR Some variety in sentence beginnings OR Sentences begin the same way

Complete sentences OR Most sentences are complete OR Sentences are incomplete--fragments
