SENSORY DETAILS STUDENT DIRECTIONS: For each subject listed below, fill in details for each of the five senses. Use details that really appeal to the senses so that the reader can actually feel, see, smell, taste, or hear what you are describing.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR THE TEACHER: Extend the activity by having the students decide on original topics for writing. Then have the students create sensory details charts for their own topics. These charts can serve as part of the prewriting stage of the writing process.
